A Southern Living plan, built by a local craftsman
The home follows a Southern Living design and was custom built by Hank Jellock, a local builder in the Abingtons. It pairs the welcoming, well-proportioned rooms Southern Living is known for with the quality of a one-of-a-kind custom build.
The Grounds
Your own private park
The landscape was designed by Paul Epstein of Greystone Gardens. Arborvitae sourced from Robas Tree Farm line the property, creating a green wall of privacy.
An artesian spring–fed pond and a creek provide the quiet sound of moving water. Two patios, a garden, and high-end plantings make the yard a place to spend the whole day.
Feng Shui
Positive chi, positive results
Lexie prepared this home using feng shui principles. Each room was deep cleaned and cleared of clutter so energy can move freely. Furniture was placed so each room feels open, easy to walk through, and naturally calm.
Natural light, the sound of the spring-fed pond and creek, and the green wall of arborvitae all add to the balance. The result is a home that feels peaceful the moment you walk in.

The walk-out lower level has 14-foot ceilings, a full bar, and a 46-foot recreation room with room for billiards, shuffleboard, and plenty of lounge seating. It also has a bedroom, a full bath, and two exercise rooms. It opens straight onto the grounds, so indoor gatherings flow easily to the patios.

Academics. Students can take Advanced Placement courses and join a gifted program. The district's college-prep grade is A−, and graduates regularly go on to Penn State, the University of Pittsburgh, and the University of Scranton. U.S. News & World Report has named Abington Heights High School the #1 high school in the Scranton metro area, and the high school also ranks #1 in Lackawanna County for STEM.
Every stage, close to home. Students attend a neighborhood elementary school for grades K–4, then Abington Heights Middle School for grades 5–8, then Abington Heights High School for grades 9–12. The middle school is a repeat Pennsylvania "Don Eichhorn School to Watch," a statewide honor for exceptional middle-grades education.
Arts & athletics. The district has twice been named one of the top 100 communities in America for music education, and its high school orchestra and chorus are well regarded across the state. The Comets compete in PIAA District 2 in more than 14 sports, including football, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, wrestling, swimming, and track.

The home has quick access to I-81 north and south, the Scranton Expressway, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension (I-476), which ends here in South Abington Township. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP) is about 25 minutes away.
